When it comes to optimizing a website for SEO, WordPress is the easiest solution available today. As it comes with an inbuilt admin panel, you don’t need to log in to your c-panel every time to make necessary changes to your site. Apart from uploading content, you can also optimize your site for SEO by accessing the wp-admin. Here’s how: Prepare Your Permalinks WordPress lets you set your permalinks in just a few clicks. All you need to do is go to Settings>Permalinks and change the default settings to the “post name” setting. You’re now ready to create URLs automatically according to the title of the posts. But before you do that, you should know what type of URLs can be created and what the benefit of the above-mentioned change is. There are generally two types of URLs, dynamic URL and static URL. A dynamic URL (www.abc.com/%123#) is mostly seen in eCommerce stores. As a product may have different sizes and colours, there can be a lot of URLs for similar items and the links can’t all be the same. Online stores use dynamic URLs automatically generated based on the product IDs to solve this problem. Static URLs are meant for sites that aren’t online stores. As they don’t have as many pages as an eCommerce store, post named custom URLs can be easily created and this is what Google recommends because these URLs consist of the topic of the post which is both user and SEO friendly. Install Yoast SEO Plugin Yoast SEO is probably the easiest solution to optimize a WordPress site. But installing it alone won’t do the job. There are still a lot of steps you need to take to help your blog acquire the top position. After you install the plugin, you should connect your site with Google search console to use the features of the tool and help Google crawl and index your site once it’s live. You should add your company and business details to Yoast SEO plugin so that Google can identify and show your site on the SERP. Yoast SEO also allows you to create meta data and titles so that search engines can read them to find your business. By using Facebook’s Lookalike Audiences tool, you can find new followers who are similar in certain regards to your existing ones. Assuming that your current followers are in your target market, you’ll likely target relevant users with your ads. Of course, the most important concern is having their businesses displayed alongside the most searched words related to the services or products they offer. But what about the brand name? You may not earn a new customer by being visible on the SERP with your business name, but there’s a threat of losing customers if they can’t find your business by its name. Businesses that have unique names don’t need as much effort to become visible on the SERP. But for companies that have common business names, or have common words in their business names, it will be harder to secure the top position in the SERP when the brand name is searched for. You have to make Google understand that your name stands for a different organization and that you are there for a different purpose. There are also several other tasks that can be done for brand enhancement. Let’s go over a few. Anchor Texts To make sure that you are ranking for your own brand name, you should have it in anchor texts a good number of times. Google decides what pages you have on your website after crawling the anchor texts so make full use of it. Even so, you still need to create anchor texts on off page contents to prove your authenticity. If businesses from other fields get ranked with your brand name, you can make slight changes in creating the anchor texts. For example, if you provide photography services and find that a travel agency ranks with your brand name, you can simply add “photography” to your business name to help Google understand that you are a different business. Business Listing Business listings can give a huge boost to your branded search optimization. Listing on high authority sites proves your authenticity and authority and thus, Google starts quickly relying on your business. What you need to ensure is that you are not getting listed in low authority directory submission sites because Google considers those links spam. An article found online referring to a report made by CNBC, explains how Google could pay as much as $3 billion per year just to remain the default option in Safari. This astronomical number has grown since 2014, when Google was paying Apple $1 billion per year. Since 2014 mobile traffic as well as iPhone sales have been growing steadily. If you look at Apple’s services revenue, and in particular licensing revenue, as well as Google’s traffic acquisition costs, that number could be around $3 billion right now.
