It really annoys us when people say SEO is dead. Sure, the game has changed. I pride myself on being the best white hat link building company in Leeds (if not the country), I have worked extremely hard over the past 8 years to build processes and systems to give you the very best service for your money. With these processes I am able to deliver a service that rivals even the best agencies in the country. Outperforming the majority of them. With that in mind, I thought I would write down exactly how I do things with the aim that my transparency will show you exactly how I do things and overcome any objections you have to becoming one of my selected clients. I am still only a small business so there are a limited number of people that I can work with at a time, I tend to top out at 5-7 clients, and I currently have space for 2 more, so read ... Read More

Beyond Google: How to Optimise Your Site for Search on Bing
by Euphoric Agency @ Euphoric Agency
Thu Jun 25 02:20:43 PDT 2015
When I and other search engine optimisation experts talk about ranking well in the organic search results, we usually mean snagging a top position in Google’s listings. Similarly, when I write about optimising websites according to today’s SEO best practices, I’m usually referencing techniques that have been demonstrated to work with Google’s search algorithms. But, of course, there are other search engines besides Google. A notable one is Microsoft’s Bing. It and other Microsoft-powered search engines currently control around 15% of all online search queries, according to online research firm comScore’s latest search engine market share report. While this number pales in comparison to Google’s 82% share, 15% of all online searches is nothing to scoff at. If you’re interested in capturing some of this search volume for your own website, you first need to understand how Bing’s search algorithms differ from Google’s: Bing’s algorithms are not as complex as Google’s. As a result, they’re more susceptible to spam techniques, making many SEO strategies that have long been devalued by Google still effective rankings catalysts on Bing. Bing is always trying to clean up its algorithms to better compete with Google, but parity is still a long way off. So […]

Microsoft Signs 10-Year Deal For AOL To Use Bing’s Ads & Listings
by Euphoric Agency @ Euphoric Agency
Fri Jul 03 00:53:07 PDT 2015
Microsoft and AOL have signed a new 10-year advertising agreement for Bing to provide search listings and ads to AOL starting on January 1, 2016. Google started working with AOL in 2002, which back then would have been a huge opportunity for Google. Google was at that time an up-and-coming startup and AOL had substantial search traffic. Since 2010 Google has managed to secure a deal to renew the partnership, but no this year. In Fact, Google told us it had no comment to give on the deal or if it tried to renew with AOL. However, this isn’t a huge loss for Google as id dominated the market with around 65% of search traffic vs. AOL’s 1%. It’s still a great win for Bing. It recently passed the 20% share mark in the US, and the AOL deal will give it a further nudge forward. Also, Microsoft is giving up its display ad sales business to AOL and said “that Bing generates enough revenue to operate on a standalone basis, if it wanted”

55 Quick SEO Tips
by Euphoric Agency @ Euphoric Agency
Sat Dec 10 01:54:32 PST 2016
1. If you absolutely MUST use Java script drop down menus, image maps or image links, be sure to put text links somewhere on the page for the spiders to follow. 2. Content is king, so be sure to have good, well-written and unique content that will focus on your primary keyword or keyword phrase. 3. If content is king, then links are queen. Build a network of quality backlinks using your keyword phrase as the link. Remember, if there is no good, logical reason for that site to link to you, you don’t want the link. 4. Don’t be obsessed with PageRank. It is just one isty bitsy part of the ranking algorithm. A site with lower PR can actually outrank one with a higher PR. 5. Be sure you have a unique, keyword focused Title tag on every page of your site. And, if you MUST have the name of your company in it, put it at the end. Unless you are a major brand name that is a household name, your business name will probably get few searches. 6. Fresh content can help improve your rankings. Add new, useful content to your pages on a regular basis. […]

Content audit This is the first step to any link building campaign, content is the cornerstone and makes everything else a LOT easier if it is excellent. Think of it like dominoes, a solid first dominoe can knock over a dominoe exactly twice it’s size, within a few dominoes, you can knock down a sky scraper sized dominoe, think of content as the first, and the best links on the entire internet as the sky scraper. Industry research Before I can implement this strategy, I need to know about your industry: What people are interested in What they already link to Their pain points Where they go to get information Is there a healthy blogging community and a whole lot more Buy domains/exisiting sites This strategy relies on working with 4 other sites, we’ll call ... Can Any Inbound Linking Hurt My Ranking?
by Euphoric Agency @ Euphoric Agency
Wed Aug 03 02:16:45 PDT 2016
The answer is simple – inbound linking cannot hurt your search ranking. How is this known for certain? Well, for one, if inbound were to hurt your rank, your competitors would continually link to your site from link farms. Such a scenario is beyond your control. For this reason, Google cannot penalise your site for any inbound linking. On the other hand, you can be penalised for illegitimate external linking. It is highly advised that you not link to any website or group of sites that may be involved in shady or unethical search practices. Doing so could result in being black-listed by Google, ultimately ruining your SEO strategy. Avoid this situation at all costs and ensure that all external links point to trusted and reliable sources. Having been involved in the internet industry for a large part of my working life, I have spent a lot of time researching and browsing the internet and reading websites, mainly for client design research, but also for occasional personal use. The one thing that I find most disappointing, is the apparent lack of thought going into website creation and it’s purpose, which in turn creates a missed opportunity for many e-businesses to become successful. […]

SEO is not an exact science. This becomes apparent when trying to incorporate both SEO and branding into a strategy. This process is finicky to say the least. On the one side, SEO deals with the placement of keywords and phrases. On the other side, branding deals with company loyalty and culture. Incorporating both sides dilutes the prominence of both. But eliminating one or the other may not meet all strategic and marketing goals. Once again, it should be emphasised that SEO is a series of guidelines rather than an exact science. Having said that, the following recommendation can be used to satisfy both sides of the equation. In general, keywords and phrases (i.e. SEO) should remain the focus of any early-stage company, while the incorporation of company branding should appear later in the evolution. This is simply a general statement and should not be taken word for word. The reasoning is pretty straightforward. At first, no-one knows the name of your company, but perhaps they are searching for your products or services. In other words, you want to target keywords and phrases that focus around your offering rather than your company. As you build loyalty and credibility, branding becomes more important. It’s at […]

Basic PPC Tips for Small Business

Engaging in PPC advertising on AdWords can be pretty intimidating and confusing. It can take quite some time before you feel comfortable using the platform, and even then, it’s so time-consuming that you might need a PPC Agency to help. Here are some great tips to help you get on your way to becoming an AdWords expert. 1. Set Up Conversion Tracking This is something that a lot of small advertisers never bother to do, which is pretty amazing to me. Conversion tracking is essential when determining what your cost per acquisition is, and if you don’t know what your cost per acquisition is, how do you know your advertising is paying off? It’s not hard to setup, Google will provide you with a tracking code that you need to place on one of your pages. You’ll most likely want to put it on the page that a customer is taken to after making a purchase. After that’s set up, every time someone makes a purchase after clicking on one of your ads, you’ll know which keyword they searched for and which ad they clicked. This not only helps you find out what your CPA is, but which of your […]

Is Search Engine Submission Necessary?
by Euphoric Agency @ Euphoric Agency
Mon Aug 03 01:06:14 PDT 2015
The simple answer is no – search engine submission isn’t necessary. The majority of search engines nowadays (most notably Google) crawl and index pages by following links. Using that logic, a single inbound link from any already-indexed page will identify your page to the engine. Subsequently, if that page links to other pages within your site, they will also be indexed… and so on. For this reason, inbound linking is very important. In fact, acquiring back-links may be the most important of SEO. In theory though, a website owner shouldn’t have to ’scout’ or ‘hunt’ for links. If the presented content is of interest, useful, and/or important, there is a natural tendency among web users to link to information. This is the basis for the Google PageRank algorithm. With all due respect, submitting your site to the search engines can’t hurt. Plus, it only entails about 5 minutes of added work assuming you only submit to the big guys. And once is enough… you don’t need to submit your site more than once. It doesn’t help or get your site crawled any quicker or more often. It should be noted that submitting your site to Google, Yahoo, MSN, and many others doesn’t […]

PR isn’t about you
by Euphoric Agency @ Euphoric Agency
Thu Oct 15 15:58:29 PDT 2015
When I speak to organisations about their PR it’s without fail very one sided. It’s always about their business and very little about their customers. This is more than a mistake it can be disastrous for a business. Ignore your customers’ needs at your peril! If there is one thing you should take from this article it’s the knowledge that customers are selfish, they only ever think about their needs. It’s all about them and never about you. So how can you use PR to ensure these needs are met? If you are selling a service, a product and company or brand you rely on customers; but buying is a very emotive decision and creating the right impression is essential. Only last week I was speaking to a lady who was researching suitable care homes for an elderly relative. Her comment said it all: “We searched high and low, far and wide for a care home for a beloved relative. Proximity is important, but more so (and worth travelling for) is feeling that the staff are caring and competent and that the atmosphere and other residents are befitting. We walked into most of our closest homes and walked straight out.” […]
